MOSAICO (premiere)
The work Mosaico, for orchestra, by Luís Carvalho, has been selected a finalist of the 1st Composition Prize Francisco Martins of the Orquestra Clássica do Centro. It will have it’s World premiere on November 17th, at 9:30 pm, in a concert to happen at the Great Hall of the Coimbra Conservatory of Music, conducted by José Eduardo Gomes.

Dear Luís Carvalho,
Last night, my wife and I, saw your concert of Ravel’s ‘Pictures at the exhibition’. I have seen many concerts of famous conductors (Bernard Haitink, Ricardo Chailly, Pierre Audi) in my life, but what you have done really surpasses everything. Afterwards, tears streamed down my cheeks out of pure joy. I’ve never seen a conductor take the orchestra to such phenomenal artistic heights. I want to thank you very much.
Was a CD made of this performance? Please keep me informed if you conduct more often in the area (from Aveiro to Viseu).
